Computer Driving License, or ICDL - a globally
recognised certificate that verifies competence
in an individuals computer usage. It is the world's
largest end-user computer skills certification
program -- with almost 10 million candidates in
over 150 countries -- and is endorsed by international
organisations such as the United Nations and the
European Union.
ICDL raises the
level of ICT and computer skills, and allows
the learners to be more productive at school
or in the workplace. Employers are increasingly
relying on the ICDL to validate training courses
and to recruit computer-literate staff. ICDL
